Nepal’s currency notes printed by Chinese company for 1st time
Nepal's money notes have been printed by a Chinese organization interestingly, a Nepalese national bank official said on Friday.
The Chinese state-possessed organization, China Banknote Printing and Minting Corporation (CBPM), has printed Nepal's new 100-rupee notes which have been brought into course from June 12.
"In spite of the fact that we have had cash coins stamped in China previously, it is the first occasion when that any Chinese organization printed our money notes," Chintamani Siwakoti, appointee representative at Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), the national bank of Nepal, told Xinhua.
The Chinese organization got an agreement of printing 210 million bits of Rs100 designated notes. "We have conveyance of 30 million bits of notes up until this point," said Siwakoti. "Our group is leaving on Sunday to get another part of notes with amount of 30 million pieces."
Because of the constrained stockpiling limit of Nepal's national bank, it takes conveyance of cash notes in various portions and it as a rule takes around three to six months for finish conveyance, as per NRB authorities.
"The new notes imprinted in China have higher quality contrasted with old ones and are brighter as well," said Siwakoti. It was likewise less expensive for Nepal's national bank to print notes in China with extra components, contrasted with the cost of printing of the same designated notes in another nation in 2012, the authority said.
