It comes as casualties' families hammered Northern Ireland's previous delegate first priest as a "detestable psychological oppressor, not a peacemaker".
Julie Pemberton, whose sister Maxine was slaughtered in the Birmingham bar bombings in 1974, stated: "With his passing the fact of the matter is covered.
"Individuals are heaping the acclaim on him yet it isn't substantial.
"He didn't approach with reality."
Her sibling Brian Hambleton said McGuinness' demise "cleans the earth of another awful fear based oppressor".
The parade, drove by McGuinness' children Fiachra and Emmet, saw hundreds line the lanes to say goodbye to the 66-year-old, with the serious group strolling through the boulevards of Derry.
