Tribhuvan International Airport

Tribhuvan International Airport is a universal air terminal in Kathmandu, Nepal. The airplane terminal is around six kilometers from the downtown area, in the Kathmandu valley. It is the sole global airplane terminal in Nepal, however Nijgadh International Airport has been proposed as a moment. The air terminal has filled in as a landing strip since 1949, and was introduced in 1955 by King Mahendra. It got its present name in 1964. Initially a grass runway, it was re-laid in cement in 1957 and has been augmented a few circumstances. The primary fly flying machine arrived at Tribhuvan in 1967 and customary stream operations started in 1972. 


The airplane terminal has one residential and one global terminal. In 2015, the air terminal dealt with 3.21 million travelers, down 8.37% from 2014. At present, around 30 worldwide carriers associate Nepal to goals in Asia and the Middle East, and the airplane terminal fills in as a center for a few Nepalese aircrafts.
