Tribhuvan International Airport is a universal air terminal in Kathmandu, Nepal. The airplane terminal is around six kilometers from the downtown area, in the Kathmandu valley. It is the sole global airplane terminal in Nepal, however Nijgadh International Airport has been proposed as a moment. The air terminal has filled in as a landing strip since 1949, and was introduced in 1955 by King Mahendra. It got its present name in 1964. Initially a grass runway, it was re-laid in cement in 1957 and has been augmented a few circumstances.
